I probably came across this song around in the early 90's on MTV, and knew them from Once Bitten Twice Shy. Even at 14ish, I could tell Jack Russell (and Mark Kendall) were great, and I was a fan ever since. I recall seeing them at Maestro's in San Ramon in the mid 90s, tiny venue, but damn they crushed Save Your Love. One of the great "what if" bands, and should have been much bigger than they were. A sad last 20 years, but watching this makes me forget all that, and remember the monster talent that Jack was.

Absolutely incredible live performance. I saw them live way back when and they were crystal clear and sounded better than the compressed CD! He was in my mind the best male rock vocalist because he wasn't just a studio wonder. He could bring it live with incredible power, accuracy, and subtlety. Rest in peace.

I just heard this cover for the very first time yesterday as the local radio station was talking about Jack Russell’s death. I never really got into Great White in the 80’s. But now I am curious and am going to have to take a dip into the pool and see what I think. I gotta say that this was an incredible cover.
